Forbidden Fruit ~Poetry

The fruit hangs heavy on loose laid vines
A twisted shape deformed and ill aligned
Its skin is rough its color is red rum deep
A secret held a promise so many others keep

It whispers tales of ancient lore
Of forgotten magic and something more
A taste of power a touch of fear
The strange fruit hangs and draws you near

But please beware the fruit’s allure
Can twist your mind and make you impure
It’s a taste of chaos a taste of bliss
The strange fruit’s power you must resist

    1. Anything forbidden is enticing, reminds me of the many forbidden men I’ve been with in my hay day. Just makes you want to take a bite 🤣 but today @50yo, I absolutely say no thank you ❤️
