Infected – 30 days of Poetry excerpts #18

I sacrificed myself on the altar and begged God to give me back my soul

I wondered in this wilderness I was lost in the fold

I wrote pages and pages till it became a scroll

I fasted I starved myself and I paced the floor some more

I talked to myself and searched for riddles beyond hidden doors
I spoke to the gods and whispered to the moon

  1. Love is an infection that I don’t want o cure. Unrequited love is a disease. I should cure myself of thta. Some day.
Question for ya: Did you mena to write “wondered” or “wandered”? I thought it sounded like wandered was the right word, as in >wandering in the desert<. But "wondering" is an interesting choice is that be the word you wanted.

    1. Hiiiiiiieeeee 😊 I always have a typo here or there no matter how many edits I do, smh. I welcome spell checkers 😊 I appreciate you visiting and commenting 💛😊💛 Wondering is actually the correct word I meant to use: Curious to know something-Wondering 😊 I know it would probably make more sense to use the word wandering as if lost, both would actually work but I prefered wondering because she is searching for something – Wondering, she’s actually lost and searching ❤ – Sometimes we have to read between the lines, poetry can be very fickle and metaphoric ❤
