Together ~Poetry #8

We loved each other till we took our last breath
Age laid us to rest
I died first
3 days later he went
Caused by the pain that penetrated between the valves of his chest
~~~
We loved each other through sunrays
72 months called May
72 times three-hundred-sixty-five days
Love seen us from brunette to grey’s
Yearly events
That’s 72 ballets
~~~
2-Times per day we prayed
7-Hundred-Thirty-Two ways
4 wedding ring upgrades
7 decades plus 20 years I waited while he played
~~~
9 kids 22 grandkids 9 great grandkids
~~~
He cheated before with some whore in year 4
I let him back even though he was sneaking through some random womans back door
~~~
One 12 month separation till he crawled back in desperation
~~~
1 cancer scare
That left me a bit impaired
He was really scared
That was year 32 that’s when I really knew
That it would be him
And I
Laid to rest
Together
