Waiting for You – Poetry

How long can I wait for you

To see the sun turn grey

Nights running into my days

Waiting for you

***

Eyes sealed tight
Holding on to a maybe or might
Sending smoke signals hoping you’re alright

***

I died

Waiting for you
***

To feel my heart beat cold

Pressure building from all the lies that you’ve told

And I wait

While this evil consumes me

These poems are all connected ❤

  1. Love can do that to you Sometimes. So many love songs have this theme, so many epic stories as well. Wonderful poem which expresses the agony and frustration. ❤️

  2. I am waiting for you out on a dark headland somewhere, just around sunset, and watching as the wind whips the tops off the waves before they shatter themselves on the rocks, only to be reborn as an invisible mist that finds its way into every pore of my skin, whilst the clouds gather above to shelter the moon during her everlasting journey across the heavens.
And so here I stand with time, where we will wait together, forever.

    1. Lovely words Mr. Richmond! 😊 I love writing about waiting and together both have been the focal point of many of my poems. I see you’ve been able to turn waiting into something majestic and beautiful! Well done Mr. Richmond ❤️

    1. 👏Hi Your Plate or Mine. You nailed it, it’s the hope, hope not satisfied is traumatic. I’ve never really recovered 100% from those experiences even though it’s been years since I’ve been that wounded. I’ve had my fair share of heartbreak. Lessons ❤️❤️‍🩹❤️

      1. I hear you, it is tough, but we endure and I believe are stronger too! The writing does help me, I have many that I have not posted, but you give me such inspiration to share on my blog! 💞💞✨💪🏾

      2. Writing helps, the trauma of past hurts hang-ups, unmet needs and lost relationship are always stuck in me iching to express itself. When I start feeling like it’s time to pick up an old vice, I write. We have this platform so why not 🤷🏽 I’m definitely here for it 🙋🏽I’d love to read some of your poetry. It’s very therapeutic ❤️‍🩹

One day, her fate intertwined with that of Lee von Solari which led her to live out an extraordinary life on a world at the edge of the milky way galaxy. Soon she would have adventures while piecing back her fragmented memories only to discover that some of them were not her own.
