Chimes
Like life
Ringing through ripples and worlds
Tears made brick
The thought that thinks
I have memories sleeping in the cracks of my walls
And faces urging me to acknowledge them
From beyond these grief filled halls
Swells enter corners of my pillow
So I listen…
For the universe
To tell me
I am not alone

Excellent poetry and art. Here is my response in haiku:
no tears are alone
into cracks and crevices
flow to enrich lives
wailing and regret
pour our passion over walls
unaware of growth

i like your style – the open sense of your words and how they lead — great line- i listen for the universe to tell me im not alone – great
Thank you so much!
i think you misspelled grief -title
LaToya, I love your word choices and the vivid imagery. This line stands out for me:
“I have memories sleeping in the cracks of my walls” Also the last 4 lines. It verbalizes something I think a lot of people do at a subconscious level.

Very powerful poem. The way how you describe the grief is very well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Flash Fiction, one cannot really describe the acute feeling of greif but I did my best ❤ Thank you so much for visiting 😊
