Feature Poet: “SPEAKING FROM THE OTHER SIDE”

I WRITE THIS POEM
FOR THOSE THAT ARE HERE,
SO SIT UP STRAIGHT
AND LEND AN EAR
MY WORK IS DONE
THERE’S NOTHING LEFT FOR ME TO DO
TODAY, I WANT TO KEEP THE FOCUS ON YOU.
SO, MY QUESTION TODAY IS…
“WILL YOU BE READY
SHOULD THE LORD COME RIGHT NOW
WILL YOU BE READY WHEN THE trumpet SOUNDS?
DON’T CRY FOR ME
MY WORK HERE IS FINISHED
THERE’S NO MORE GOOD DEEDS TO BE DONE
BUT I WANT TO TALK TO THE “YET” LOST ONE!
NO MORE WAITING,
SAY YES TO THE LORD
STOP ALL THE FOOLISHNESS
SURRENDER YOUR ALL
I WANNA KNOW—-ARE YOU SAVED?
DO YOU KNOW HIM AS YOUR PERSONAL SAVIOR?
IF NOT, THEN DO ME A HUGE FAVOR:
OPEN YOUR HEART AND LET JESUS IN
AND YOU WILL —ONE DAY— SEE ME AGAIN!
